Just note that many of these products are “Made in Canada”, not “Product of Canada”, so ingredients likely still come from outside of the country.

Still better than the alternative retailers and brands.

I’d still recommend shopping with other smaller local companies. I’ve found the exact same canadian products, 25-30% cheaper at locally owned Canadian businesses instead of petvalu. They are EXPENSIVE for almost no reason and refuse to price match.

I wish I had the option!

Within just a few KM, we have two Petsmarts, and at least 3 petvalus. There was an independent pet store just down the street, but they closed down a few years back.

I may have to look again, since we just got used to having stuff brought in from Amazon or Walmart 😵

I’m still mostly shopping at my locally owned store but I’ve always like pet valu.

As a shout out, I recently decided to try First Mate wet cat food as it’s one of the few true Product of Canada cat foods that I could find.

The more I get into Buy Canadian, the more appreciative I am of Quebec. Some of my favourite Canadian brands come from Quebec, and they have a very European sense for urban design needs (puts people, and not vehicles, first). 😍
