a brutal blacksmithing action game with a cruel Dark Souls core
And this is why I didn’t finish Metroid Dread. Good job continuing the trend of Dark-Souls-ifying everything that is good in the world.
The top oligarchs like Elon barely even registered it.
Elon admitted to Jon Rogan a week or two ago that he’s using his kid as a human shield to protect himself from an assassin.
If you wanna know what they’re afraid of, look at where they spend money - buying politicians and opposing attempts to regulate them and break up their monopolies.
Actually, mob justice and dying actually does scare them. It’s the one thing they can’t just buy their way out of.
Cut billions of dollars in aid to the poorest people in the world? Without having any authority to do it? An average person would stop and think “how many people are going to die from this?” Or, more selfishly, “what consequences will I face in the future if I do something so fundamentally evil?” Or, more practically, “is what I’m doing legal, and will Trump and Musk throw me under the bus and claim I acted without orders if I get criminally charged for this?”
These kids aren’t thinking about long-term consequences. They’re thinking “the richest man in the world chose me to transform America and I have to live up to his expectations”.
You’ve almost got it right. An average person would stop and think about shit like that. A psychopath would not.
They may be young adults, but they are still adults. Adults still go to prison for doing stupid shit that gets people killed. All of these adults are getting people killed. Literally.
They know why they are in that department and job. They want to take an active part in dismantling their own government.
Fuck these people.
At this point, everything involving Trump and Musk are Not the Onion material.
Is “my homie” the new “some people say”?
I still don’t understand why that’s the barrier to entry for many people. It’s like people want to be enslaved to a monopoly on purpose.
The more effort we put into making Bluesky and Threads good
While I somewhat agree, I don’t think we should be putting “Bluesky” and “Threads” in the same sentence.
Also, I think Threads is a cautionary tale around this whole protocol argument, where a federated technology does not automatically mean it’s safe.
This post should be pinned on some Wall of Shame.
“Didn’t watch the video” seems to be a popular sentiment, considering the content of some of these replies.
Too many people trying to answer the question of the title, instead of actually watching the video and seeing what he has to say about it.
Metroid Dread’s difficulty was wack, in comparison to more perfectly balanced ones like Super Metroid or Metroid Prime 2.
I had to stop playing when I was wondering what the hell I was doing with my life trying to fight this same stupid boss for the 10th time, which wanted me to deal with awkward diagonal shooting mechanics and focus on some tiny weak point, while trying to dodge whatever it was trying to throw at me at the same time. Maybe it was Drogyga? I forget.
I was already not in love with the instant death mechanics with frame-perfect quick time events that purposely change the fucking timing. just to make it an RNG nightmare.
