Eugene V. Debs' Ghost

I said then, and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.

Anarchist/libsoc. If we’re stuck with a government, it should use its taxes for healthcare and education, not murdering.

  • flat.world loves anything a liberal does because liberals can’t fail, only be failed.

When Harris loudly stated how she wanted to increase funding to the military, put trans people in jails as the top cop of california, arrested people for cannabis, ignored the Mexicans in cages on the border, said Gaza wasn’t an issue, she was copying Republican actions and talking points.

Liberals think they are allies but actually fucking hate those they say they support. The only difference is a conservative loudly states they hate us, a liberal will say they support us as they go “Well we had to support the bills that banned you from bathrooms, we had to reach across the aisle. Forgive us next election?”

  • What does this actually mean?

So even when those 10 Democrats are elected, it’s still not good enough? They won their elections, they represent their districts. And that’s somehow not good enough, you gotta be smug about how people wanted a better option?

Like what is this take? “Because some leftists online talked about not wanting to support murder and courting Republicans, they are all to blame for Democrats voting with Republicans, even if they weren’t in their districts!”

Newsflash, those Democrats have been in office longer than people were (rightfully) saying that Harris’ positions might cost her the election. So I don’t think the shadowy cabal of online leftists that both are to blame for the election as a large voting bloc but also must never be listened to as it’s only a handful of people who can be ignored that can be blamed for these Blue Dog Democrats.

  • Yep, I live in California. Local ballots are more important for my state than anything federal level, and I still voted for Harris.

I live in the worst part of California where its rural so Republicans win 60% of the vote, and state-wide Democrats win 60% of the vote. Props and city level are the only places I have a meaningful change, especially since my “city” has 5000 people.

So if I vote aginast the Republicans running for the House, my one vote didn’t change much there as the redneck hillbillies who think California is communist are a voting bloc that can’t be swayed, and they never need ot worry about re-election. I still vote for the Democrat, but last elections had two Republicans for the seat, one was backed by Trump, one was backed by Trump’s aids and cabinet officials.
