I think they are very good. Don’t expect any fancy features though. The gallery for example only shows pictures in directories and has very basic editing capabilities. There is no album management or automatic backup of any sort.

I know people don’t like to hear it but, assuming you and your neighbours collectively own the house, taking out a loan for a renovation like this isn’t the worst idea. Might be a massive headache though.
