I finally switched from Firefox to librewolf, which is a privacy focused fork of it. It’s basically Firefox with some of the iffy stuff ripped out, and with good default settings.
Firefox with proper settings is probably “fine” still, but the transition is super easy since it’s basically the same thing.

Yeah, same with text here. I tried the option to sit on top of the window in focus too, which is nicer. But as much as I love my non-maximized windows, my setup at work is a bunch of 1080p monitors. So even with terminal windows it works nicely to just fill the left or right half of the screen.

When it was the day of the general election and we were guaranteed to either get mainstream Democrat or Trump 2.0: The Revenge Tour, I could not morally justify any vote that didn’t minimize the chances of Trump winning.
But in the present day, and in the time leading up to the election, god damn the Democrats feel so worthless. Their party probably needs to be completely rebuilt even before the much much worse Republican party. You can’t have the Nice Conservative Party vs the Mean Conservative Party when the latter has gone off the deep end.
But also in the present day, it may already be too late. So keep on writing stern letters, insider trading, and raking in the fundraising while your desperate constituents still have some money and willingness to do something!

I can imagine some of the assumptions people make about me, even though I totally get it. I’m a tall husky white guy with a big beard, and even though you will never see me wearing a baseball hat and mirrored shades, or Meal Team Six tacticool bullshit, it is totally normal for me to wear jeans and a flannel while walking through the mud and tending to my animals. And I live in a very white, 3/4 republican area, so I imagine that anybody existing outside the puritanical ideals just defaults to hiding and masking.

I do mostly c/c++ for an embedded product, but one of the modules in the system uses an FPGA programmed w/ VHDL. So I’ve gotten to do a few deep dives into that code in the past couple years.
It’s been decades since I’ve had to write new VHDL or Verilog though.

Iirc, what we normally call “sugar” is sucrose, made up of glucose and fructose. Glucose is used all over the place and too much is definitely bad (ask diabetics), while fructose is processed in your liver. Like a poison.
