Well yeah but I was talking about fixing their domestic issues
It’s funny how Democrats pretty much lost the election on the take that they aren’t much better than Republicans on issues that matter.
I kinda feel like it US politics was less like a talkshow where people just tell buzz words at each other but would actually have debates about things that matter, they wouldn’t be in this mess. But apparently that’s not what the American people want, so…
He makes a valid point until he starts naming examples of preventable deaths on US soil, like gun violence, lack of access to proper healthcare, domestic violence, infant mortality…
My house costs less than that and now I’m in debt for the next 30 years. And I do quite okay.
I didn’t downvote but I will add a note to Tony’s.
First of all: I applaud their mission and every company in the world should be working without slavery of any kind.
Because Tony’s is so open about their sourcing and making a big deal about being 100% slave free, they are an easy target for organizations checking their claims. There have been a couple of moments in time where Tony’s has been challenged, the most recent one being 2021, where they have been removed from the list of ethical chocolate companies by the American company Slave Free Chocolate, because they collaborated with Barry Callebaut.
Now, to expand on ‘collaboration’, here: Tony’s buys their cocoa very transparently, from farmers who do not employ children, paid or otherwise. Then, to process this cocoa they need an efficient factory and they use one in Antwerp, Belgium. This factory also processes the cocoa from Barry Callebaut.
Tony’s doesn’t really care, of course, about being taken off the list by this company. They know they are ethical enough by their own measure, which is still leagues ahead of most.
The point here being that one might read one headline or the other, refuse to go into any depth and form their opinion. Now any time they read Tony’s all they remember is ‘they are not as holy as they make themselves out to be’. Hence they’ll just downvote this any time they glance over it.
Or it might be Big Chocolate, idk.
Owned by Russian dissidents who have long since left Russia. Most of the data centers are in the Netherlands, near the AMS-IX.
It’s true that you’d have to start a secret chat in order to be end-to-end encrypted and this is a huge design flaw.
I run Home Assistant in my house and it tracks my location and my wife’s.
Besides that one can use Telegram but the opinion of Telegram changes more than the weather.
If you want bang for buck (we need a euro saying for this, effective euros?) I can recommend Inventum from the Netherlands. If I need household appliances they’re usually the first one I check for country pride reasons.
I don’t know what the current opinion of Telegram is but I use it all the time with my wife when we play Sea of Thieves.
Yes by a company called HMD. They actuality continued the vision of Nokia and I think what they’re doing is pretty good. They make a lot of feature phones and I owned the Nokia 8 which was pretty good for the money.
Polarising of two or more subservient groups is excellent for people in power. If you create the us-them narrative they’ll be so busy arguing amongst themselves, they’ll have no eye for the ones affecting their misery and changing it.
Now I’m not saying everyone should take to the streets and fight the government immediately, but bashing in your neighbours’s skulls because they drive Teslas and/or voted for Trump is not productive at all. Rather find some middle ground with them and see how to survive the coming four years.
A Nothing phone with a custom open source OS will do a lot of good. Commented from my Moto edge 50 neo with the original Android on it lol
Boldking sounds right up your alley. From Amsterdam.
EasyToys is a really big one from the Netherlands.
Edu Imbernon is nice. He released another track called Paradisio a while ago, solid banger
Matrix: Revolutions. I didn’t even see the fourth one.
Ah well my house is not that big. It’s my wife and me and three cats but we have rather large furniture so it kinda feels cramped.
Definitely house, preferably owned. I rented my previous apartment and had to run a lot of jobs through the landlord. Now, if something goes wrong or if I want to hang something with screws, I can just go ahead. And I love having a back yard. Front yard meh, just work, no joy.
Downside is that my house is not exactly well maintained and it was built in the sixties. So I’ll need to invest in some stuff in the next 5 to 10 years.
Are you looking for consumer or enterprise products? I’ve bought a two unit mesh set from Cudy, it’s a spin-off from TP-Link.
