The art of the gaslight
We are more resourceful than ever so no, I dont think it will accelerate a decline of any given nation. It does highly increase our chances of annihilating ourselves in one go, but that’s another conversation.
An example is when the Suez canal got clogged up during COVID. That kind of halt in the global logjstics is the kinda thing that would have absolutely brought down an empire, but we managed.
I feel he was well intended and just naive. When he finally made it, he quickly realized he wouldn’t stay PM for long if he did, not only because the people in power wouldn’t let him if he was to push another voting system, but that his party probably wouldn’t win another election ever. (Ending the conservative/liberal back and forth forever).
I think he could have done it and started a strong/young party, fully embrace the change albeit taking a chance people wouldn’t vote for him. But he’s a traditional political boy.
After the french revolution, the people who took over did the same exact thing as before, and abused their power. When Lenin finally took over and gave Russians free elections, they didnt vote for him. He said fuck them and took power anyway. It do be like that for these types.
Hey cut our friend some slack, it’s probably PTSD from covid. Gather round, grandpas gonna tell a story…
There was a time you see, when it was not allowed to return your cart at the store as they had to be cleaned, you had to return it at the corral with the other biohazards.
They say that out there in the masses, some are still mentally in lockdown.
He just drumming up his nazi base who have no idea of the multiple levels of irony.
Nah, of course he meant in 2024, and it has nothing to do with the ongoing boycott. Literally hoping people don’t read passed the headline (which most of their base doesn’t)
The entire U.S is a national threat at this point
Sure, youre the owner of walmart though, with regulations.
And then you call next door to find a hitman to get rid of some of your problems, and get caught trying to murder people with money.
I was specifically talking about the ambiguity, it probably started before they noticed and ended before they officially called it. It’s interesting to think about but I get there is the official understanding of where it started and ended.
I didnt necessarily mean a single persons lifetime but a single person within a generation trying to guess where he is in the timeline.
Would they though? Back then the US was a pretty amorphous thing having seen a ton of changes and growth. A split of the US wouldn’t have meant a collapse. We’re talking about the collapse of post-WW2 supremacy the US has enjoyed for nearly a century now.
When the roman empire collapsed, do you think someone living in those times could tell where the collapse started and where it ended? It’s an interesting thought experiment
Edit: or rather where they were in the collapse timeline - of course the collapse lasted longer than a single persons life.
“Sir I did not bring in tons of cocaine across the border, I only drove a boat”. Is essentially your argument.
Now I’m not against what the silk road was initially supposed to be, but this guy took it to a whole new level of fucked.
He has been for a while now, which is actually a violation of the US’ nato obligations. But who care anymore, the US is no longer an ally.
Edit: it also violates a ton of border treaties, and half a doze international agreements the US has benefited from for a long time. But just with NATO:
Key points of the treaty
- The parties agree to settle disputes peacefully
- The parties agree to refrain from using force in a way that goes against the United Nations’ goals
- The parties agree to consider an attack on one of them as an attack on all of them
- The parties agree to consult about threats and defense matters
- The parties agree to safeguard the freedom, common heritage, and civilization of their peoples
- The parties agree to promote stability and well-being in the North Atlantic area
Threatening Canada violates all of these and then some.
He makes rockets the same way he plays POE.
I mean theyve been using war games, simulations and all sorts of “models” long before they became commercially available. Asking another statistics tool for a result is not different, and to me isn’t “playing a role” as much as the title implies.
Who even leaves the lot with ads? If they didnt tell me when I bought it, im bringing that bitch back.
Hornitology is always how I remember it
Not just downtime. There should be room for training.
Employers aren’t obligated to invest in you, but then you know how much you should invest in them.
Your tongue is also super tactile. We spend most of our toddler years discovering this.
You can look at anything around you, anything, and your brain knows exactly what it would be like to lick it, even if you’ve never done it before. Taste, texture, residue etc… it’s quite freaky
Oh and my thighs are really good at imagining my phone just buzzed.
