The point is that Zelenskyy has undertaken a great deal of stress during this trying time, as many Ukrainians have. The exhaustion written on his face is saddening, because it reflects the weight of the troubles assailing Ukraine, but it also shows that he is a great man, undertaking these burdens when lesser men would have fled or given up.

Hey, congratulations! This place has its flaws, no doubt, but it’s a much improved community over what Reddit has become - especially in the past 2-3 years.

There’s definite caution that needs to be exercised in doing this, at the very least, as well as encouragement of restraint from the community and correction from the same.

Open hostility towards bad actors is useful in driving out the less-dedicated of the bad actors, in establishing norms against bad actors, and in discouraging any would-be bad actors who want to join.

Every member of a community has the power to contribute to that.

If that user chooses not to rethink their position, that’s on them.

An individualistic approach to cultivating community is counterproductive.

Honestly, I’m at the point where, while I think there is a great deal of malice and certainly some horrific long-term plans, I genuinely believe that these people are idiots at this point. I think many of their actions lack any intention beyond the immediate and impulsive emotional reactions of a thin-skinned narcissist.
