I’m also with you on CC. Fortunately I do well enough, but I live within my means and pay it off each month. I put things off I cannot afford until I’ve saved enough for it. Or I just do without. If they had layaway, I’d do that since I grew up with that sort of thing.

The basic reasons are more immediate: sowing instability with (US and NATO) allies in order to tear down the fabric between nations aligned against Russia. Thus removing impediments for Russian expansion of power or territory. The resulting and effective distraction is for instituting fascism and the ransacking of our coffers mentioned by someone else and is also very real. The primary goals are Russian goals. The secondary goals are the prizes for the oligarchs and any that help with the primary goals.

Do you think they care about function? Are you not already aware that destruction and mayhem are the points? No, I would search for your motherboard model and forums to see what situations might match yours so that you might glean something useful as far as settings go. A quick check revealed nothing useful that stands out to me. Resetting all electrical connections was the lone useful tip. (The reddit link blocked me, lol. Fine) Perhaps more detailed (or different) search terms would produce better results.

I think you’ve taken the right steps to this point. Another CPU to test with would prove useful (though your original should suffice). Or another board to test this CPU in. Perhaps the shop you procured this one from has one or the other? Otherwise, I would pursue replacement.
