A lot of the time it’s a box with a code for some online store these days. And yeah, no indies.

Gas stations are definitely difficult, many of them just don’t have the shelf space for 5 different cola brands, and if you can only pick one it’s hard to justify anything but coca cola from the perspective of the gas station owner …
Almost every country has tons of domestic soda brands, though most of them are only available locally/regionally and some of them are probably USA-owned.
In Germany there’s Fritz Cola, Afri-Cola, Sinalco, Mio-Mio, Club Mate, Bionade, Paulaner Spezi and many more.
Can’t deny that there’s a really big difference between late 60s rock and 40/50 rock, though - it’s not really wrong to consider it a new genre, even if it appropriates the name of the older genre.
I always thought that a lot of singers in bands who write their own music and often play an instrument at the same time should focus more. Even in bands that write their own music, it’s not necessarily the singer who writes their lyrics, melodies and chords.
“writing and composing” is a bit broad, anyway. Do you exclusively do covers of other people’s songs where you copy the original singer exactly? If so, cool, that’s pretty hard to do well! If not, you’re writing/composing/improvising vocal parts, and that’s a skill, too.
Isn’t BBQ sauce already smoke-flavored ketchup (in most cases)?
British food is good, let’s bury this stupid meme. German and British food aren’t that different anyway.
Axel Springer SE is owned by billionaires, too, and they’re obviously far right, too. They also own BILD, which is probably Germany’s most popular “newspaper” (legally not allowed to call itself “newspaper” due to low quality) and it’s very far right.
*Hela
Gewürzketchup is pretty different, though. It’s not like there aren’t hundreds of brands that make regular ketchup.
Es scheint mir bei solchen Fällen gefährlich, Dummheit zu unterstellen. Dieses Verhalten hat beim ÖR ja seit Jahren Methode.
Haven’t bought anything off Amazon this year (I used to buy from them quite frequently), I’m going to try a few alternative online shops for my next purchases (e.g. otto, galaxus). I already use specialized shops for a lot of things, but when you want to buy a couple of small things without getting poor from the postage it really helps to use a shop with a large range of products.
I’d assume that most governments (other than the US) don’t have easy access even if E2EE in WhatsApp etc. is a sham - these companies are definitely intent on keeping the pretense up, and smaller countries aren’t able to disprove it.
“cootie catcher programming” … ?
Yeah, that shit is getting absurd.
Comparing a fresh download between my Steam Deck and Desktop Linux, the Steam Deck download for it is now 88.1GB whereas on Desktop it’s showing as 144.2GB.
88 GB is already kind of annoying, especially when you have slow internet, but 144 GB (much of that probably 4k textures, uncompressed audio and similar stuff) just fucking sucks.
Though the US has always had a certain tendency to act similarly after WW2 …
