I don’t know for a fact that you consume factory farmed animals, but in the absence of further evidence to the contrary, I feel perfectly fine with that assumption. The conclusion that you are an animal abuser then becomes an unavoidable consequence.

99% of the animals consumed come from factory farms. Factory farms are necessarily abusive beyond the point of atrocity. You are an animal abuser. Either own it, or change.

It’s not even true that Canadian animals are treated better. We have some of the worst animal protection laws in the Western world. For example, if it’s -31C out, and you know that animals will die suffering exposure on the truck that you’re loading to haul for 16 hours with no food or water, that’s perfectly okay. Not only is it not a crime, it’s business as usual.
