There is certainly a party. However if you run against/outside those chosen by the party. You end up either in prison or dead. But you are otherwise correct. It’s not very Democratic and the people don’t elect anything beyond local Council. Which is beholden to the National Party. So there isn’t much Choice there either. And in a blatant reduction to democracy. Xi Jinping isn’t even subject to election anymore. He is now basically Emperor for life. And no longer subject to nomination or election by Council. And as such has moved back into the Emperor’s Palace the forbidden city. Which was off limits for many many decades since the overthrow of the emperor.

The right question is when will we have a storage technology with the durability and reliability of spinning magnetized hard drive platters. The nand flash chips used in most SSD and m.2 are much more reliable than they were initially. But for long-term retention Etc. Are still off quite a good bit from traditional hard drives. Hard drives can sit for about 10 years generally before bit rot becomes a major concern. Nand flash is only a year or two iirc.

Very few of them are indoctrinated that way. It’s far more Sinister than that. The majority of them I would say get their indoctrination through their local broadcast evening news. The same local broadcast evening news that their parents and grandparents trusted, watched, and relied upon. It’s never been fully trustworthy. But even back then it wasn’t fully owned by Sinclair as it is many places today.

Attacking them for swallowing the Fox News or whatever online Source hook line and sinker. Only pushes them away. Because that’s not what a lot of them are doing. They aren’t seeking the radicalization out. It’s being permeated throughout their environment without them even trying. Go to some of these places where all local Outlets are owned by sinclair. It’s like stepping into an alternate reality. Where Up Is Down left is Right black is white. And you are the crazy one. Because you don’t believe what they’ve been told. Trump is lionized in daily mandatory propaganda segments. All failings or setbacks are because Democrats, DEI, trans, minorities, or any other groups they don’t have regular contact with.

It’s easy and a cop out to think these people are stupid. They aren’t. Or are ignoring the information we’ve seen. They haven’t. Through no intent or effort of their own. Their local controlled media has indoctrinated them into a fascist death cult.

Unless you always use VPN or random public WiFi etc. It’s rather trivial to trace it back to you for an ISP or government. Even VPN and public WiFi aren’t perfect solutions. They can still fail you.

This is the power of the US oligarch media/propaganda echo chamber. The information that this is what they would do was out there. But many get their news from only their local broadcast stations. And when they’re owned by Sinclair, they don’t get that information.

Sinclair is only telling them that musk is saving them billions and money and that Trump is doing a wonderful job. Sinclair spent the last 4 years down playing the insurrection and consistently attacking anyone who wasn’t trump.

They might. I recently was thinking about how friends and family in other states had gotten roped back into this. And then it occurred to me. Despite living in a red state. Our area has been blessed with having none of the local news stations owned by Sinclair. Don’t get me wrong. The local news is still not very good. But Sinclair is absolute propaganda. Completely toxic.

But realizing that made the reality disconnects make sense. Many of them live in areas where there isn’t a local newscast not owned by Sinclair. Plenty of them don’t watch fox news or any cable news. And don’t engage with news online at all. Just the traditional local broadcast news. But like frogs in a slow pot. They haven’t really realized the propaganda boiling around them yet.

But realizing that has given a vector of attack. They don’t like what other major media companies like clear channel have done to radio. Sinclair and clear channel are very similar in many ways. And just planting the concept has had some small success. Many of them are conspiracy minded. So appealing to that mindset with actual, much less fantastical conspiracy can resonate with them.

Combine that with analysis from people who are independent subject matter experts. For instance the legal eagle YouTube channel has done a good job covering a lot of recent events from a factual/legal perspective. I think sharing some of their videos along with pounding the Sinclair conspiracy. Has definitely had an impact. And made them a bit less likely to just take what Sinclair has been feeding them at face value like they have in the past. But it’s a constant battle. And we can’t let up. But I think pushing back against Sinclair specifically might be a good way for us to start reaching a lot of these people.

Even if it isn’t. Who doesn’t screen calls from unknown numbers etc.

It’s China. They’re speed running the United States. They have a history of this. What was Brazil honestly expecting? This is the country whose Industries put Nets up on the outside of buildings. Not to catch construction workers that fell accidentally. But to stop exploited workers from trying to escape their exploitation by throwing themselves to their death.
