I do have a few outside. Probably not the best security-wise. Haha. Those are the first to get patched when one comes out.

At rough count I have 16 of those buggers. Appliances, switches, load meters, lights, etc. If I look harder, I’d probably find more. Yikes!
Even if it were fixable, it would be up to manufacturers to push updates. I doubt any really care enough.
Well… Shit.
There are so, so, so, many ESP32’s in not just my house, but practically everyone I know.
There outta be fines for this BS.
Welp, guess I’m digging out my complete SG1 collection tonight.
I have to watch them all, you say? No, honey, this is important work I’m doing here. 😎
Watched as much as I could stand. Man, does he draaaaag on.
Mars had a DB breach, 2.7 billion accounts, only for IOT devices.
Conflicting data: phone app doesn’t collect user data, but lo and behold, data collected anyway. Possibly direct from IOT devices.
SSID/pass screenshotted but official response said that was on separate server not involved.
Meh, don’t trust IOT, guys. Keep that crap on a vlan or second wifi. Man, this vid was painful to watch.
Oh yeah? We’ll just build coal plants next to the border. Naa naaa.
/s … I hope. Shouldn’t give them ideas…
I’m split on this. On one hand, I don’t want to be tracked, but know I am anyways. On the other hand, bringing awareness to these problems is important.
One reason companies get away with horrible invasions or privacy is they limit those privileged to access it. Opening up a system to show how invasive it is could be a good thing. Big tech has become the juggernaut it is by operating in the shadows as much as possible.
Meh, I’ve moved on. I was addicted to digg back in the day, but they’ll have to earn viewership back from me. Not impossible, but content, moderation, and monitization are going to be hard to perfect these days.
Digg killed digg IMO. They either learned a lesson, or it’s more of the same.
