Or you could just use your local taxi service which doesn’t have gig-economy shenanigans attached.
Best option: avoid taxis and ride shares like the plague and use transit as often as you can
Local taxi services can be a bit scammy on their own
I agree, especially if you’re a tourist in a foreign country and you don’t speak the language
